At the guest house, each unit is equipped with bed linen and towels. Our accommdation was super clean with a cosy atmosphere and had a great view over Picton. Very friendly owner who welcomed us on arrival. We would definitely love to stay here again!

The property has an outdoor dining area. It was Gorgeous…with a capital G! This place was beyond quaint…the gardens were beautiful and the owners are lovely people

The spacious guest house features 1 separate bedroom, 1 bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen with a dining area and microwave, and a living room with a flat-screen TV. Guests can take in the ambience of the surroundings from an outdoor dining area or keep themselves warm by the fireplace on colder days. The guest house offers bed linen, towels and laundry service. WE HAD THE WHOLE PLACE TO OUR SELVES AND IT WAS VERY QUITE. THE FRIDGE WAS JAM PACKED WITH EVERYTHING YOU COULD POSSIBLY NEED TO LIVE ON. WE HAD USE OF THE BIKES AND THE OWNER EVEN LET US USE HER SWIMMING POOL.

Alex and Peter were so friendly and kind. Their dogs are very friendly too. The property was beautiful. We enjoyed a very nice dinner. We even pet their horses! What a place! We enjoyed the many conversations about life in New Zealand.

Owners were really helpful and communicative.

Fantastic backpacker hostel if you are backpacking in New Zealand. Very cheap and you can meet a lot of people. Also a nice cosy place and the staff are very helpful. The selfmade free dessert on 7pm is a very sweet touch too.

We stayed one night only after walking the Queen Charlotte track. As a mature couple, we wouldn’t usually stay at a backpackers, however, the Tombstone is so well kept, clean and spacious and our private, ensuite room was very quiet. Great facilities, kind and welcoming hosts, and a range of accommodation options make the Tombstone appealing to younger and older guests alike.

Spacious room, quaint decor, charming atmosphere. Quiet and comfortable. Comfortable bed, warm. Bathrobes provided. Heater and fan provided for changing weather conditions. Delicious breakfast cooked by our lovely hostess. Bathroom a little small but great water pressure. Would highly recommend! Close to vineyards, perfect location. Plenty of parking.
