The 5-acre organically managed property runs on a hybrid energy system including solar and grid energy. Beautiful location. Walking distance to main road with some nice restaurants within 30 mins. Information booklet in the room was helpful. Help to rent mopeds, organise transport, guides etc. The room was spacious, bed was really comfortable, hardly any creepy crawlies (this is a complaint from many of the eco lodges). Good wifi. 2 fans which was nice. Good shower pressure and temperature.

A minimarket is available at the guest house. Awesome family staff & very close to charco Verde Park! Would definetly recommand!

Beach huts are clean, comfortable and cozy. The lake is on your doorstep with views of the volcano to your right and a great sunset bar to your left. An island paradise with lovely dogs, chickens, a cat, ducks along with a friendly and helpful owner. Scooter access is 100% okay! There is a restaurant next door but if you want to go to others it’s a close 10min drive. Look no further and stay here!

Guests at the guest house will be able to enjoy activities in and around Balgue, like cycling. Charmingly decorated property with a lot of greenery. We had a lovely private cabin with a comfortable bed and a nice shower. Lots of friendly animals on site. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Featuring a garden and views of mountain, Hostal Bullshark is a recently renovated guest house set in Cuatro Esquinas, 16 km from Maderas Volcano. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. The accommodation offers airport transfers, while a bicycle rental service is also available. We booked to stay half our nights on Ometepe here at Hostal Bullshark. We ended up extending and spending our whole week here. The place really is perfect for a nature retreat. The terrace is absolutely beautiful and is a perfect place to just sit and relax, enjoy a coffee/Fresca/tea etc. The rooms are huge and very clean. The location is just right, away from the towns but still on the main road so easy to find. You can rent mopeds from the hostal too. Finally Tatiana, Ana and the family are brilliant hosts, they really make you feel like you’re part of their family while staying in their hospedaje, it was a real highlight to wonder around chatting to all the family and building an understanding of what Ometepe life is really like. 10/10 would recommend this place!

Guest House Nena is a recently renovated guest house in Moyogalpa, where guests can make the most of its garden and terrace. With inner courtyard views, this accommodation offers a patio. The accommodation provides a 24-hour front desk, airport transfers, a shared kitchen and free WiFi. I left two pouches with my passport, money, and everything important I was traveling with at the Guest House Nena when I departed to take a ferry back to San Jorge. I had no idea I had left them! They were under a sheet on the bed that I had inadvertently covered them with. After the people at the Guesthouse found my pouches and their valuable contents, they looked around for me, and the young lady from the Nena eventually ended up boarding ferry before we left and asked for me. Fortunately, she found me. I thanked her profusely and gave her a hug. I was extremely happy and grateful to have my stuff and to have adverted a semi-disaster. I owe that girl and the Guest House Nena in Moyogalpa….
