Nice building, inside the decoration of the hotel is very unique, in your room you have a tv, fridge, kettle. It is quiet, safe. You can book this guesthouse if you don t want to stay in windhoek city center and have a rest. I thank you the young lady at the reception who cleaned my shower however it was not her job. She was very kind, professionnal lady. The bar is open until 10 pm.
Everything! Fran is such a great hostess, she ensured we were comfortable, the place was spick and span! She even showed us around when we were struggling to get a cab. The place is near Mareaua Mall too, makes it great when you want to quickly grab something. It has a great relaxing area and everything you need for self catering is provided.
The unit we stayed had evertyhing availble for cooking, oven, microwave, nonstick pan, since we love cooking. Neighborhood was super quiet, which I appreciate a lot. Hosts were super friendly. Cost was very reasonable. It was clean and cozy. Location was proper as well, super close to Auas valley shopping mall and Marua mall, easy access for hikers at State House as well.
Superb breakfast with many home cooked options. Anri and family are exceptional hosts who made us feel at home. The guesthouse is well located on high ground and offers lovely views over the city. Highly recommended!

Chameleon Backpackers & Guesthouse is a great hostel for those looking to stay close to Windhoek's city centre. The room was spacious and comfortable for my friend and I. The common area, pool, and kitchen was clean and inviting. Staff were friendly and helpful. The airport shuttle arrived on time and brought us safety to the hotel.
