Staying here was such a highlight - my favourite place we stayed on our trip to Korea. A beautiful historic house that was still comfortable and warm. Bathrooms are in a different building but that wasn't an issue as it wasn't raining and they are nice and modern. The host was lovely and prepared a small breakfast tray, and the room comes with tea and coffee facilities and a fridge. If you have mobility issues, sitting on the floor and climbing into the rooms/ bathroom might be a bit difficult as the doors are essentially the size of a large window, but we found it part of the experience. I hope to stay here again one day!

The property is around 24 km from Nagan Eupseong Folk Village, 29 km from Guksaam Buddhist Hermitage and 36 km from Seokcheon Buddhist Temple. The owner was very kind, and the room was spacious and clean. The heated floor (ondol) was a very welcome surprise and the pension was very quiet. Altogether we had a great night's sleep and would come back again!!

Featuring a terrace and views of mountain, Leehakjang guesthouse is a guest house situated in a historic building in Mokpo, 1.2 km from Mokpo Station. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay. The guest house features family rooms. Located right next to the ferry. Great place to stay over night and head out in the morning. Super nice hosts. Literally ran with me to the terminal to ensure I caught the boat. Will stay again when I'm passthrough Mokpo.

Staff was incredibly nice and went out of their way to help us. BBQ and bubble bath were great. Good to know is that the water for the bubble bath gets switched off at 10pm - so, good to fill it up before if you want to use it later.

Located in Mokpo, 700 metres from Mokpo Station, Geonmaek Stay provides accommodation with a garden, free WiFi and full-day security. The property is around 5.7 km from Pyeonghwa Peace Square, 34 km from Wolchulsan National Park and 44 km from Naju Station. Hampyeong Eco Park is 50 km from the guest house. Geonmak Stay is awesome - so glad I stayed there. It's a really short walk to the Mokpo Station - I took the KTX from Seoul, arrived at night, and it was quick and easy to walk there. It's an interesting place, different in some ways from anywhere I've stayed, but different in a way that I really liked. The room was very clean, bed was very comfortable. You check in at the Pub downstairs, and the English instructions they gave me were pretty clear - everything worked. The bathroom IS the shower - don't aim the shower head at the trash can or toilet paper roll, though. The bidet seat buttons were all labelled in Korean, but I figured them out pretty quickly, since I have a Toto Washlet at home, anyway. The people at the pub are great. Their English is not great, but being young, they quickly pulled out translators on their phones which helped a lot. There is a refrigerator and microwave (again, knob labels in Korean) in the small kitchen on the second floor. The neighborhood is not so upscale, but felt very safe and walking around (it's only about 100 yards from the harbor quay) was great - you can get fresh fruits and vegetables their easily. There are some cool bakeries and coffee shops nearby, in addition to plenty of mini-marts. In summary, I had a great experience - be sure to go down to the Pub often!!

All the hosts were really kind and nice with us. The keys have been taken on the reception desk and it is possible to eat a Ramen for the first night but we choosed to move on the city for the diner. The breakfast has been taken with the hosts in the morning it was a typical korean breakfast we could admire the landscape and the story of the hosts, it was really peacefull and with a great discussion. It was really a good memories to stay there.
