The sea view from the room and serene neighborhood are amazing. The facility is really great, especially common space at the outdoor where you can relaxing enjoy the sea; perfect to experience slow-paced travel. The owner is also genuinely kind. The bed was even nicer than that of a much more expensive ryokan. The train ride to the guesthouse was scenic, the location of the accommodation is perfect, the eateries nearby are all good. The place itself was spotless with a really nice shower room. Everything was perfect. I can't recommend it enough.

The owner of the lodging went above and beyond in making sure that I was comfortable and provided for. Today I left early for my pilgrim walk and did not have breakfast. The lady sent me a message and brought me the food and additional lunch 30 km away. She just did it out of the kindness of her heart. She did not need to do that, but she did. It was also raining yesterday and I did not want to leave the room. she brought me lunch on her own initiative. She is smiley and helpful and kind and the place is super clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay there again and highly recommend this accommodation for anybody.

It was a good size and had everything we needed. There were instructions, in English, for everything! It was a quiet neighborhood and having an easy parking spot was great. It was very comfortable, we really could relax there!

Free WiFi is provided throughout the property and free private parking is available on site upon prior reservation. Maki was so friendly, welcoming and helpful! She recommended local restaurants for dinner, and invited me to join the tacoyaki party they were having that evening. The 8 bed dorm was lovely- gorgeous wood beds and cool decor. The beds were comfy and private. I was lucky since there were only 4 of us in the room, but I think it would be spacious enough even if it were full. Definitely the nicest guesthouse I’ve stayed at in Japan.

The nearest super market is a 5-minute walk away, while the nearest convenience store is just a 2-minute walk from Cinnamon Guesthouse Dogo. Nice environment, great location, nice renovation of the building as a guest house. There are guitars in the living room I enjoyed playing a bit. Good facilities, they even allowed me to park my bicycle inside.

We got oranges from the owner’s garden for free for breakfast. Cafe options are also very good, I highly recommend the strawberry smoothie there. Location is perfect, right at Imabari station, bike rental and bus station. Staff was very sweet.

Guest House Wakabaya is situated in Takamatsu, a 5-minute walk away from Hanazono Station of the Kotoden Nagao Line. The Kotoden Nagao Line can be accessed from Takamatsu-Chikko Station. Takamatsu-Chikko Station is a 3-minute walk from both JR Takamatsu Station and Takamatsu Port. Excellent stat at the Guesthouse, Takeshi is a truly wonderful and informative host who gave lots of great advice regarding transport and places to visit. Will be back again.
