Our best stay during our three week Japan trip in 2024 with 8 people in total (including a toddler and kindergarten aged kid). The hosts are very nice, the breakfast and dinner they provided for us was exceptional, and the view from our room was great, too. They take great care to be ecologically mindful. Everything was very clean. The owners also provided us with valuable info on what to do during our stay in Kochi, so we had a blast exploring the beautiful nature surrounding this guesthouse.

The sea view from the room and serene neighborhood are amazing. The facility is really great, especially common space at the outdoor where you can relaxing enjoy the sea; perfect to experience slow-paced travel. The owner is also genuinely kind. Thank you for the great place and hospitality.

I just wish I could’ve stayed longer than one night.

The owner of the lodging went above and beyond in making sure that I was comfortable and provided for. Today I left early for my pilgrim walk and did not have breakfast. The lady sent me a message and brought me the food and additional lunch 30 km away. She just did it out of the kindness of her heart. She did not need to do that, but she did. It was also raining yesterday and I did not want to leave the room. she brought me lunch on her own initiative. She is smiley and helpful and kind and the place is super clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay there again and highly recommend this accommodation for anybody.

Towels and bed linen are provided in the guest house. This guest house is allergy-free and non-smoking. It had everything we needed. It was well equiped with everything we needed. So much thought has gone into creating this comfortable space.

Located a 12-minute walk or a 3-minute bus ride from JR Kochi Station north exit, Katsuo Guest House offers Japanese-style dormitory rooms with air conditioning. Free WiFi is provided throughout the property and free private parking is available on site upon prior reservation. Nothing bad to say about Katsuo Guesthouse. The owners are super friendly, and they upgraded me from the dorm room to a private room for free! The facilities are excellent, everything clean and comfy. Very handy map of the area and info provided as well. Wish I had stayed longer!

The nearest super market is a 5-minute walk away, while the nearest convenience store is just a 2-minute walk from Cinnamon Guesthouse Dogo. Nice environment, great location, nice renovation of the building as a guest house. There are guitars in the living room I enjoyed playing a bit. Good facilities, they even allowed me to park my bicycle inside.

It is set 18 km from Kawaranofurusato Park and offers a shared kitchen. Hojo Kashima Shrine is 28 km away and Hojo Hometown Pavilion is 31 km from the guest house. Perfect starting (or ending) point for the Shimanami Kaido. Friendly staff, lot of informations about the cycling path available. Very clean.

Guest House Wakabaya is situated in Takamatsu, a 5-minute walk away from Hanazono Station of the Kotoden Nagao Line. The Kotoden Nagao Line can be accessed from Takamatsu-Chikko Station. Takamatsu-Chikko Station is a 3-minute walk from both JR Takamatsu Station and Takamatsu Port. We had the best experience possible of checking in quite late after a long day and with a busy schedule ahead of us. Takeshi is very welcoming and in perfect English helped us out with our itinerary on visiting Naoshima & Teshima as well as providing tips for other must-see places in the area (as we were there to visit some architectural highlights), with some really cool less touristy options that are not often mentioned in other guidebooks. All in all a very relaxing experience even though we had a full itinerary during our travel through Japan!
