The Nishiki Guesthouse is within a 5-minute walk from bus stop Kowaishi, 10 minutes by public bus from Mitsumineguchi Station and 35 minutes from Seibu Chichibu Station. Mitsumineguchi Station is a 3-hour train ride from Ikebukuro Station in Tokyo. Hajime, the owner, was super helpful and kind. We ordered dinner and breakfast and it was delicious. The guesthouse is a traditional, rustic, old-style Japanese house and it was exactly what I was looking for. The view from the room was absolutely gorgeous! I was on foot and walked from the station to the guesthouse- about 30 mins. There are a couple of places to eat nearby, by foot or bus - all delicious! I spent a couple of days walking in the mountains nearby. It was an amazing experience- very rustic, but that was exactly the type of place I was looking for. Thank you Hajime!
