The nearest airport is Tokachi-Obihiro Airport, 61 km from the guest house. Santari-san was an amazing host! He takes a genuine interest in his guests and enjoys sharing with them. I was welcomed with tea. He then took me to the local onsen and then later dropped me off at a yakatori for dinner. He cooked a fresh breakfast in the morning for the other guest and me. The house was clean, comfortable, and well decorated. Santari is not in a standard tourist area but it is definitely worth stopping here for the evening on the way between East and west Hokkaido.
