Shabby House is a 60-year old traditional Japanese home that is situated in Sapporo. Nishisenjuyojo Station is a 3-minute walk away from the property. The accommodation offers a free shuttle service to the home upon prior request. Shabby House features free WiFi. Mr. Kudo is super attentive, and we had some great conversations, plus he gave me some recommendations for sight-seeing to squeeze a bit more out of my last day. The room is very nice for the price, everything you need and no more, understanding that you're gonna be sharing the space with other travelers (plus hanging out over breakfast is very nice). Well-connected thanks to the streetcar, which makes it only 20 minutes to the city center. I genuinely only had positive experiences with this guest house, and the "negative points" are just nitpicks.

The dormitory rooms are furnished with simple yet stylish interior, and guests have access to the shared kitchen. Free WiFi is available throughout the property. It's super clean with very functional and high quality furnishing and amenities. But the most outstanding thing was the people - the hosts were amazingly friendly and helpful and the place was set up with a great living room kind of place where people would often hang out and meet each other. I ended up visiting many places around Sapporo with the other guests. It's a dynamic I've never encountered before elsewhere.

It has a dining room with mountain views, drinks vending machines and coin-operated laundry facilities. This place is ridiculously cozy & checked all the boxes for a perfect stay! Plus they really went out of their way to help me get to my next location - including calling the bus companies to make reservations. It's not luxurious but that wasn't what I needed. Cozy and convenient to get to snowboarding, it was great!
