And his wife makes delicious meals too :) I have no words to describe everything we experienced here but I will try… If you can’t travel with the local boat, for an extra price, Jeki (the host and guide) can come pick you up and drop you off. Also for an extra, he will take you on an amazing day of activities. Worth it!!! We started by going to Padar Island which had tourists but was beautiful. The rest of the trip we were alone. Jeki spotted manta fish and we swan with 17 of them!! Pink beach and Makassar point also stunning and had them all for ourselves. Finally we went to look for komodos. We say eight of them right behind the village! Since we had time we also walked around the village and got to meet families and play football with the boys. We would have stayed for days!!

The nearest airport is Komodo International Airport, 2 km from the hostel. I very much enjoyed my stay. Mitha was extremely welcoming and happy to help with transfer from the airport, scooter rental, and laundry. Location is out of the business of town but very close via ojek/grab. Also perfectly at crossroads to travel east in the island. Room is spacious and bed comfortable. Would return in a heartbeat.

Also, good breakfast with banana pancake and fruit. The owner helped me a lot by arranging the boat tour and drive to Bajawa. I was also able to rent his scooter. There is the cutest dog and chickens walking around. Just lovely !

Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a terrace. This brand new place is held by a wonderfull indonesian couple. Very welcoming and helpfull. A few little suggestions to improve customiser experience (like: add a few hangers) but no real big deal. Additionnally Nas' wife is a really good cooker and it is one of the best places where I've had diner on Indonesia. She should propose host table. Very clean. Good bed.

Hars and his Japanese wife are fantastic hosts and organised everything for us including transport to and from the airport , bike hire and three organic meals a day. On top of that we got to learn lots about real organic farming techniques and the special island of Sumba… thanks Hars we will be back.
