Featuring a garden and views of city, Petrounis Hotel is a guest house situated in a historic building in Areopolis, 11 km from Caves of Diros. The property has inner courtyard and quiet street views. The guest house features family rooms. We loved our stay at Petrounis hotel. It is a beautiful hotel in the centre of Areopolis but still very quiet and peaceful. The bedroom was very comfortable with everything you need. The highlight of our stay was our meeting with the owner, Petrounis. He was so welcoming, friendly and accommodating. Our trip in the Mani will stay forever associated with Petrounis and his hospitality.

All units are equipped with a kettle and a private bathroom with a shower, while selected rooms come with a fully equipped kitchen equipped with kitchenware. At the guest house, the units include bed linen and towels. So this was my second year at Ktima Zaxarias, I loved it so much I came all the way for NYC with Kokkala being my first stop and the beginning of my trip in the Mani region. I love how quiet, off the beaten path and the simplicity of it all. The rooms are simple, new and clean, with a fully stocked kitchenette. The property is nestled in fig and olive trees. The beach is clean and right outside the courtyard. George the host, welcomes everyone that stays on his property as if they’re family. I even had an unfortunate occurrence where I stepped on a bee and my foot started to swell. George was ready to rush me to first med, thankfully the Benadryl and some sprays that he had stocked in his first aid kit did the trick. As much as I worry about my secret getting out and people discovering Ktima Zaxarias, it’s such a special place that it’s worth recommending. See you in 2024 🙏🏻

If we could give 11 stars we would but the highest is 10. Clean, tidy, super hospitality by the owner. Everything You need was there. Highly reccomend to everyone

The property features mountain and garden views. The guest house has family rooms. Fantastic apartment with amazing views of Monemvasia. Our terrace was huge and we enjoyed watching the sunrise from there as recommended by our host! The bedroom is spacious and comfortable and we slept really well. Good sized bathroom with two sinks and a big shower. You can walk into Monemvasia in 25 mins so no need to worry about finding space in the main car park. Really friendly host who gave us great recommendations for dinner and how to get to Elafonisos island. Would highly recommend this place for a peaceful and quiet stay within easy reach of the bustle of Monemvasia.
