Poligiros
Boasting a shared lounge and views of mountain, Klities Guest House is a guest house set in a historic building in Poligiros, 37 km from Anthropological Museum & Cave of Petralona. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay. The guest house has family rooms. I booked it last-minute and I was very pleasantly surprised. The room was massive and FULL of amenities (face mask, loofah, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shaving kit, and more). The staff were beyond lovely and helpful - going the extra mile for even just one night’s stay! It’s a shame this was just a stop off for me, I’d have loved to spend more time here.
Arnaia
The 1892 stone-built Chorostasi Mansion is located in Arnaia, right next to Agios Stafanos Church. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar.

Everything was extra clean. Great space, great atmosphere. The location was excellent in the heart of the village.

Run by Nicky and her son Nikos. Nicky only spoke Greek. She served breakfast, eggs, yoghurt, spanakopitas, breads & sweet pastries. All delicious!
The property is very well maintained, with many interesting furnishings. It is less than a minute’s walk from the main square where there are 4 or more restaurants.

"The most unique place, just 50 km away from the shores of Halkidiki, amidst nature at 900 meters above sea level, you will discover tranquility and freshness. Enchanted by the unique cottages and the hospitality of the hosts, who were super kind, smiling, and responsive, made our stay even more delightful. The delicious breakfast included homemade treats. The area is surrounded by unique nature, creating a magical atmosphere throughout the experience. If you seek serenity and coolness, I highly recommend it."
Vrástama
This is a new traditional inn, in the old village of Halkidiki, and is surrounded by a green garden, pathways and relaxing spaces.
The 2nd building is where Greek breakfast and dinner are served from a fully-equipped kitchen. This space was considered essential by the owners to offer better conditions to the visitors and was set up in a separate building, so that the noise does not disturb you.
A hidden beauty in the mountains north to Halkidiki beach resorts. We would highly recommend at least a few-days stop here if not a full vacation.
In our search for authentic Greek experiences, we found this place two years ago, but unfortunately we had to cancel that trip in the last minute. We came back this year and it was worth it.
What is exceptional about this hotel/villa is the overall architecture and the interior design. You can see there the detail orientation of the owner (himself an architect) and the high quality and value of every object there.
The surrounding is also perfect: in a valley, between two hills and a small water flow. Very relaxing since it gives you the feeling of only nature around you, far from the madding crowd. :)
Last but not least, we had twice the dinner there at it was WOW!!! Although there's not seem to be a restaurant opened for the public, the owner is regularly preparing on-request dinner for the guests. The food/ingredients quality, the serving and the atmosphere is something that you cannot find in most of the commercial resorts nearby, that's for sure. So if you want an unique culinary experience, ask for dinner there.
Although we didn't have too much time to explore it, the mountain area around the hotel also seems to have a lot to offer.
Overall great experience and we would love to come back everytime we have the chance.

It was a beautifully restored old building; we met father and son, both were the most charming hosts you could wish for. The breakfast was superb and only a short walk to shops and eateries. We had a balcony with superb views across the town and nearby countryside:
Everything was great! Very friendly host, homemade breakfast, spectacular location, very clean and warm room.
The accomodation is big enough, very beautiful and clean! It had all the facilities we needed for our stay. Highly recommended!! P.S. The hostess is very kind and willing to make your stay even more pleasant!
Great place for families (4-5 person) in quiet but well-supplied town. Beaches and bigger markets in range within 15-20 minutes by car. The Host - Eirini was super hospitable and helpful. Thank you Eirini, See you next time!
Everything was super nice. Both Sofia and Miltos are super nice hosts. The hotel is amazing. Quiet, clean, beautiful views. The breakfast was served whenever you like and no one pushes you for strict hours. We will definitely revisit this magical place.
The guesthouse is perfect for Greek vacation! It is so cozy that your fell there like at home. You feel that everything made with love for your amazing holidays. Very nice terrace to enjoy sunsets. The hosts are so kind, attentive and welcome. I recommend everyone to come to Geomelia guesthouse and enjoy your time there.
Location - tranquil and relaxing with lots of wildlife Large self contained room, perfect for our stay Great hosts very helpful and kind Good breakfast lots of local produce
The hotel was charming, renovated from the home of the family’s grandparents only 3 years ago and spotlessly clean. There was warm welcome, both from the host and the log fire in the reception/breakfast area. The beds were very comfortable and all the produce at breakfast is either home or locally made, thereby supporting the local economy, and was of an excellant quality. The hotel is also surrounded by the small passages and alleyways of the beautiful village of Arnaia, so its location couldn’t be better.
Great location with superb view, nice local & homemade breakfast, super kind host - can only recommend.
