The staff was incredibly nice and went above and beyond to make our stay a truly magical one. The room is very well thought out, with incredible attention to detail and a lot of Harry Potter inspired design, we felt like staying in a room at Hogwarts :). Everything was very clean and the included breakfast was great. The property is situated in a nice neighborhood with easy access to transportation, parks and local shops. There's no better place to stay if you're a Harry Potter fan or if you're just looking for awesome accomodation in the area. A one of a kind gem we cannot recommend enough.

Dining options are available close to the guest house. The apartment was lovely and modern and in a great location. There was a slight hiccup at check-in but Jordan and his team leapt into action and solved the problem within minutes, very courteous and apologetic and really helpful. Never judge someone on a problem, judge them on how they put it right, and I couldn't fault them. Would book again without a second thought.

The charming restaurant and traditional bar are at the heart of the Feathers Inn. Guests can enjoy an extensive seasonal menu surrounded by old exposed brickwork, original wooden beams and a welcoming log fire. The receptionist Zoe was wonderful, helpful and very friendly. The housekeeping was very kind and polite and tended to any needs we had. Would love to return.

A really cosy and comfortable place to stay while working away from home. It’s quiet and secluded with all the stuff you need. The room is kept clean and so is the bathroom. Perfect! I’ve never had to ask for any help from Sally the host but I’m sure she would go out of her way to make any guests comfortable.

The breakfast was amazing and had the best tomatoes I have ever had!! The bathroom was nice and there were little goodies on the table which made my stay even more comfortable. Quite a nice cozy place to stay.

The hotel restaurant provides superb dining in a friendly, relaxing atmosphere, with a modern British menu using local produce. There is also a comfortable lounge bar. Special place. Beautiful and historical Room and bathroom were excellent Sunday roast dinner was SUBURB!! Staff was so very nice!!

Set in Bishops Stortford, in a historic building, 2.7 km from Stansted Mountfitchet Station, The Cottage Guest House is a guest house with a garden and shared lounge.
