Breakfast was delicious Our room was big and clean, the room was light and airy, the bed was comfortable and we had a lovely view. Our host, Lynn, was exceptional and nothing was too much trouble. She was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. We were attending a wedding and Lynn even gave us a lift to the hotel, to save us walking! Lynn also gave us a lift into town the following day. She really was super friendly and very, very accommodating. The Pines Guest House was a wonderful little find and made our weekend away in Scotland very enjoyable. Lynn made us feel very welcome X I would highly recommend The Pines Guest House and would most definitely stay there again.

At the guest house, every unit comes with bed linen and towels. Our second floor room was wonderful. It was spotlessly clean and elegant with a nice southern views of some of the beautiful homes in the area and hills in the distance. Natali and Tony were great hosts with much information to share about Ballater. Great walks and hikes right out of the front door. I especially liked the hike to the summit above Ballater called Craigendarroch. The “outside” pic is from the summit of this hike. The walk along the River Dee is quite enjoyable also. Fantastic breakfast! Natali shines in this regard in spite of me seeing Tony wearing an apron one morning. 😁 The “lobby” picture is one of the dining room tables set for breakfast. We would go back in a heartbeat!
