I loved sitting on our terrace, sipping some tea and reading in the early morning and evenings. The rooms (including bathroom) are very spacious and comfortable, and the hotel restaurant is a good option for food whenever you need it. Jason, the property owner/manager has excellent English and was very responsive before and during our trip, and arranged the taxis we needed to arrive from Guilin station and then onwards to our hotel in Yangshuo. Highly recommended.

The double room was extremely spacious (enough space to run around!), fully furnished (king-size bed, many tables/stools/sofa, clothes rack), and spotlessly clean. The decoration is stylish, the floors are made from parquet in the room and tiles in the bathroom. The shower is very spacious too. Everything is of high quality. Staff are extremely welcoming and helpful. Breakfast provided in the morning, and they help with travel tips and organizing tours to sights in the beautiful area. They made us feel right at home for our 5-night stay. And last but certainly not least ... the view from the rooms is simply breathtaking! When we booked the hotel, we had doubts whether the view would really be that good. Many hotels advertise a view, only for the reality to be disappointing. But not this hotel. Imagine waking up every day with a 3m-wide window showing Guilin's amazing karst mountains right in front of you, with practically nothing in between you and them! All of this, for a reasonable price ... Ideal stay for anyone - single, couples, groups - who comes to Guilin and Guangxi for the beautiful nature. PS: hiking and promenade routes available right from the hotel's doorstep!

I absolutely loved the experience of staying in the heart of a local minority village! The Lost World building is a solid wood 3 story structure that has been completed remodeled with modern comforts (beds showers and amenities ) while maintaining the original architecture integrity and beauty! The people are so nice and welcoming and the village people (young and old) dressed in their traditional clothes and put on a wonderful performance for all tourists. There are no cars in the village except at the entrance so we just walked around and took in the beautiful scenery. Also I am very impressed how clean the restrooms are and the villages are as the local people are sweeping constantly! A special praise to the owner Wei and his staff they made sure we had western style breakfast and also cooked us a delicious dinner with a variety of local fresh vegetables and meats. We walked through several villages full of small shops and the nicely paved country paths along the river. Absolutely picture perfect green farm fields and mountains and I feel like I am indeed in a beautiful lost world! So glad we stay here and will love to come back again and stay longer next time!

The boss was very generous allowing us to cook outside food at night using their stove for free. They also gave us a lift by creating to and from the ferry. The whole family were very warm friendly and helpful. then there was the superb location and quiet serene atmosphere and beautiful wooden shack hotel rooms. it felt like going back in time in the best way possible A++

This was a beautiful guest house in a great location in the old village. Excellent spot to stay to fully explore around. There was some amazing hiking that you can do from the village around the rice terraces. The room was comfy and clean. Great vegetarian food! Everyone was so helpful -The guesthouse organised a driver for us from Guilin train station to the village, and were also on hand to answer any questions and advice. It was an excellent stay
