We had our own balcony and access to communal living spaces. Breakfast is included and the hostess also cooks dinner on request—delicious.

I walked to the nearby park and saw the rhododendron trail and river which was really pretty. Quick drive to downtown. It felt safe and quiet and easy to walk around.

The Tofino Paddler’s Inn is perched on the waterfront of downtown Tofino. The building has a lot of character being around a 100 years old and the town’s original hotel.

The Inn has five rooms. We pride ourselves on clean, simple and funky accommodation for the traveler to stay and explore the area. Rooms are private with a shared kitchen and two shared bathrooms I expected a regular hostel, but was met with something looking more like a hotel! The owners and staff were all super friendly, giving loads of tips on what to do in Tofino. The rooms were clean and tidy, just like the common area and kitchen. We were able to park our bikes in the backyard and also leave our wetsuits to dry in the drying room overnight, which was very kind! The location is also perfect: in the middle of "downtown" Tofino, with restaurants, shopping and grocery store nearby.

The nearby Inlet is home to river otters, bald eagles and seals, among other animals. This guesthouse is in a beautiful location, very close to Chesterman beach, and about 5km from Tofino town centre. The facilities within the guesthouse have been nicely thought out. The back of the main house has a fabulous platform to chill and watch nature. Idyllic view.
