THe rooms were basic but you had all you needed. Comfy beds. Great hot shower. And heating in the rooms and bathroom. Brilliant. Breakfast was good, would have liked a muesli or granola offer, but nice to have eggs. Their dinners were excellent. THe quality of the meat was just SO good. My friends and I really looked forward to dinner. Highly recommend this place. Great base for walking. We stayed 2 nights

Breakfast was excellent and freshly prepared a good start to the day. Rooms are comfortable with WiFi and air conditioning in a great location within the country. The host makes your stay very pleasant and relaxing a real home-from-home experience. I would definitely stay again given the opportunity.

Very comfortable and roomy accommodation. Everything was great. Bed was comfy. Aircon, hot water with really well. There is an area to use with coffee, kettle, microwave etc. Good restaurant just down the road. Check in was easy. The mother DIY’s not speak English but Google translate worked fine. The son who runs the place had great English and is great for a chat. It’s close to get to cave and castle.

The Hostel has a very authentic and homely feel to it. The staff could not be more accommodating and friendly, they go the extra mile for you. The food they provide is delicious and all locally produced. The beds are also very comfortable. As for the location it is perfect less than 5 minutes walk from the caves. Also it’s so peaceful and quiet I enjoyed a daily swim in the river close by. Overall I don’t think you could desire a better place to stay and for the price it is the best value for money stay you can get.

Nicely furnished small apartment with everything you need for your stay. The location is in the quiet village, which is great for peaceful break and a great base for sports activities and exploring the natural beauty of the karst (Škocijan caves, Divača cave, Lipica etc). The host was very friendly and helpful.

Surprisingly cosy, quiet, slow-paced hostel with attentive but non-intrusive staff and all amenities to make you happy for a relaxed stay – either for one day or longer. If your plan is one day, you may regret you have not planned for a longer stay.
The host was lovely and couldn’t have done more for us. Staying here you get a discount on the caves so don’t book in advance! Walking distance to the caves and the walk around the top of the village. There is a shared fridge and plenty of space to sit outside and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Wonderful host, Irena, was most helpful and assisted with advice on costs for attractions we were looking to go to.
The hostel is in a great location, close to the caves and the Skočjan itself, where there is an excellent restaurant. The room facilities were simple but sufficient. We paid extra for the breakfast from local products. The hostel has a garden where you can relax. There is a communal kitchen with utensils as well. You can walk from the train station to Divača, but it is possible to book a local taxi.
Our hosts were so accommodating with a free lift to and from Divaca station, beautiful room and great location right next to the trail that leads to the caves!
