Character hotel in a beautiful setting. Room was clean and comfortable. Claudia and the owner were very friendly and helpful. There is a village 1km away but for us the hotel had everything we needed. We cooked our own evening meal in the well equipped kitchen. Breakfast was provided and very tasty.

Beautifully restored property packed with period features. Room was spacious and beautifully decorated. Shower room was well appointed and both rooms had a lovely view of the cobbled square below.
Our host was welcoming and very helpful , gave us a map of the surrounding area and had great knowledge of the local history

The owner, Marisa is exceptional. Almost all the food we had for breakfast was from her produce. She baked the bread in the morning.

Property was excellent. It was very comfortable. The bed was really comfortable. The shower was perfect and the parking for our Motorcycle was very secure. Our host couldn’t do enough for us.

This is the place to stay in Trancoso - it's really worth ("vale a pena" in Portuguese). It's located in a quiet area of Trancoso, just few steps from the old town and the musea of the village. The owners are an absolutely lovely couple, attentive to details and so kind ("they lent us umbrellas in a very rainy day when they saw us going out in the morning). . The environment is very familiar, so you feel like at home. The breakfast is very tasty using local and tasty products
We were warmly received and the couple who owns the place did everything to make sure we were comfortable. The room was good, as were the beds. We enjoyed a nice breakfast with homemade jam, a delicious cake and no plastics.
The location is excellent with the town centre, restaurants and the castle within 5 minutes walking distance. There is free parking just outside the guesthouse.
The breakfast area was open so I was able to use the kettle and microwave and get a hot drink. Quiet at night. Excellent and interesting shower! Modern room. Some English language channels on tv.Small supermarket across the road.
I wish I could give more stars! The location was perfect - dead centre of Troncoso. The accomodation was everything we needed and more. The design of the apartment was impeccable and up market. The hosts were lovely and very attentive. They even repaired my mother's watch for her and checked that the restaurant they recommended would have the meals we wanted. Honestly one of the best stays ever!
