Choose an upstairs room with river view ( no lift). Rooms are not enormous but the view is amazing.Breakfast was very good with a variety of hot and cold items. Fresh juices and excellent coffees.

What a lovely little Portuguese gem this accommodation is and very clean. While there were three of us (my husband and 15-year-old daughter) in the one room, everything was spacious enough and there were thoughtful little touches everywhere, such as little mats next to the bed. The tile in the bathroom was so beautiful and classic Portuguese. Nuno has exceptional taste and this is evident in every tiny detail. Because we were travelling a long distance and new to Booking.com we were not across all communication. If in doubt, contact Nuno via WhatsApp. Luckily the neighbours were so lovely and sorted us out. Make sure you book dinner well before, if you are planning to eat out. We booked O Tonel six months in advance (from Australia) and it was fabulous. They turned away so many people. There is great coffee and delicious flaky Portuguese tarts to be had in Tavira (they were on our Portuguese bucket list). We parked our car on a main street and just walked around to the accommodation (as the street is a dead end and it was just easier). Thanks Nuno we appreciated your little sanctuary.

Easy check in and check out. Fabulous location right on the riverside and 3 to 4 minute walk to town. Gorgeous pool area for relaxing. Great host, who spoke excellent English. Detailed meet and greet but then left in peace and quiet to enjoy the property. The property is authentic in design and beautifully decorated with lots of original art work. The host tells everybody about the railway line which runs above the garden and I can honestly say this didn´t disturb us in the slightest.
Marco was a great host, helpful in all respects. Great location. Everything was comfortable and in working order. Kitchen has comprehensive pots, pans and utensils (microwave-proof mugs and a couple of wine glasses would be good).

Tavira House was a wonderful place to stay while exploring this charming city. The location was quiet and very convenient to walking to the center. The interior of the house is beautiful and very comfortable for reading and relaxing. We thoroughly enjoyed a delicious breakfast every day on the outdoor patio. The large terrace is a fantastic spot to relax after a day of touring. Filomena is a wonderful host who cares very deeply for her guests and makes sure their stay is perfect.
This great guesthouse came with a lovely pool and gorgeous garden. Our hosts were incredibly welcoming and provided us with a booklet that answered all questions we may have had regarding restaurants, beaches, tourist attractions, and info on the property. We had a studio apartment with a balcony and the area itself was quiet and well situated from the road so it was quiet and a great place to relax and chill.
this is a great hostel. great location - super close to the main part of town and to get the ferry to the beach. they have the timetable available, and the staff are super friendly and nice
Super great hosts. Very friendly and helpful. Nice bonus was the fruit, coffee,etc in the room. They also brought us a bottle of wine one day and a couple of beers the next day. Nice touch. Location is perfect and so quiet. Just 2 km more or less from town and they told us where to park for free so we didn’t have to keep putting money in a meter.
Our room was large , ground floor with a very large terrace.
