The breakfast was delicious! We would have loved to have it on our balcony but had to go to the dining room because we were in the main part of the house.

We had the most amazing stay at Casa do Poço. The house is huge, clean and very comfy, stocked with everything you might need. The view from the terrace is beautiful, we loved sitting out there with a glass of wine. We did a tour of the vinyard with the owner, it was great to learn more about how a family vinyard runs and the wine is delicious! We came with our 6 month old, who was very well catered for. Cannot recommend this place more! We hope to be back!

Anna on reception was friendly, informative, and was very accommodating, the venue would have been so laid back if I was staying more than a night. itcwas too cold to use the pool but a beautiful setting. Although parking was not available in site Anna showed me safe parking next to the rear of the building.

Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Everything! Gorgeous property, beautifully designed and super-comfortable, lovely welcoming hosts who do everything to make sure you have a fabulous stay. We travel a lot and this is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. Cannot wait to return.
Warmful and familiar reception by the owners, they make you immediately feel even better as in your own home! The cleanness of this very charming Guest House is fabulous and the central location is great with a nice view on the beautiful vineyards. We highly appreciated that a private cook can prepare local dishes for the guests. A very big thank you to the devoted owners and all the affectionate staff members and please keep your place so authentic as it is, we love it!
Thank you Carlos for a wonderful stay! The view from this Quinta is spectacular and the hospitality was amazing! Carlos was the perfect host. The rooms are super clean and modern but still charming. We booked the set menu dinner one night and Carlos even managed to work around making it gluten free for me. We wish we had stayed longer than 2 nights but hope to be back!
We traveled through Portugal during the Easter holidays, and visited Quinta da Pousada. This stay was definitely the best stay through the entire trip. The room was clean and charming, the hosts were very friendly and helpful and the location was beautiful. The area is stunning, and the hosts gave lots of tips for what could make visit in Douro Valley as idyllic as possible. I warmly recommend this place if you want a relaxed place with a mesmerizing view. We would recommend the wine tasting and visiting the museum.
Lovely hosts. The hosts were available by phone 24/7, but completely unintrusive. The flat was spotless with a clean, comfortable bed and useful kitchen. It was an uncluttered space for a relaxing stay. A quiet but central spot in the village, close to tourist information (a wealth of helpful info re travel & tolls, local shopping & hours of business, etc as well as usual tourism advice). Tempted to visit again in the future for a holiday rather than work.
