No staff and a confusing check in… nice place though

Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Location very quiet. I had all the facilities typical in a house. The family was also very friendly with me, showing me the island y typical places to visit.
The place is creative and clean and the hosts are wonderful people who put a lot of care in the hostel and the guests and are enjoyable to talk to. The breakfast and the views are excellent. I really like the deck/sitting area overlooking the beach. I love being in that part of Tahiti and this is a great place to relax there. There are some rules for guests to help keep it clean so if you choose to stay there, please be respectful.
It was the perfect getaway in Tahiti, far from the big cities and surrounded by all the locals. The hosts were more than friendly and so helpful. Fresh breakfast every morning with the best view. And not a single dirty spot to find in the place.
I was greeted by the lovely hosts, Yanita and Frank and welcomed into their newly renovated hostel right by the beach. I don’t usually do reviews but this was such a fantastic stay, and some wonderful hosts! It’s worth the drive from Papeete! I look forward to the opportunity to come back to the island and stay again with them!
Spacious bangalo with everything you'd need, fresh fruit, baguette and croissants. For non-french speaking customers might be difficult, but with good will manageable
Lovely location with distant views of the rugged coast. Peaceful rural, elevated location surrounded by fruit trees.
Great swimming pool and cabana, breakfast every day was fresh fruit, juice, baguette and croissants. Modern, clean and well stocked free standing cottage.
Hosts Cedric and Laina were fabulous.
Highly recommended.
I enjoyed staying at the Kia Ora Lodge! Valea is such a lovely host, she even dropped me off at the Bus Station after Check Out. The place is a little further away from Papeete and the Airport so it's actually good to have a car or a scooter. But there are Busses as well!
I stayed in the Dorm Room. There is a well equipped Kitchen with an extra tap for drinking water, a Gym and a Pool. The whole place is very clean and so nice to just relax for a little while and enjoy the Island!
Friendly hosts, lovely spacious apartment-style room with everything you need- great for self catering and I liked that there was a refillable water filter on-site to avoid plastic bottles. Good location for exploring southern Tahiti. Recommended.
