Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Great experience to live with a local family! Ezzat and her husband are the most charming and welcoming hosts, thank you so much! Great location in a very quiet area next to the National Museum. Only a short walk to the bus station, that brings you everywhere. Best place to stay in Muscat.
Most friendly and helpful host ever, so lovely and great first impression of hostel.Really good breakfast.Close proximity to city center. The room was clean and quiet, with an excellent service thanks a lot KAAB see you soon
Great location in the old city center near the Al alam palace, National museum and bus stop. The room was clean and the owners very friendly and helpful. The host showed us a good restaurant and advised us what to see.
The room was very clean, cleaned every day, very quiet, great location, the breakfast offered a very nice selection of hot and cold dishes with fresh fruit. The staff went above and beyond, the food, the hotel and the location, everything. Very nice, helpful and hospitable. Whether in the restaurant, in the lobby or by the pool, the staff was simply unique!
Great Host with a lovely and charming breakfast every morning. The property was in a save and nice location. We stayed with the family in there flat. Our room with the toilet was next to the living room. We could look the door but we felt very save and the host were really nice and warm-hearted.
We loved Fort Guesthouse! The contactless check in was easy, the place was spotless, rooms lovely. Great location right near the fort and plenty of free parking just a minute walk away. Medium-sized fridge, some coffee / tea / water, towels & hand towel, hair dryer etc. Nice rain shower too, and well-placed power outlets beside the beds, too.
The hosts were so lovely, and we enjoyed a filling and delicious breakfast with a view on the sunny terrace above. Breakfast was 6 rials for two of us. I would definitely stay here again.
Great location in the centre area of town and right next to the Muscat Opera House. Met by our lovely host and shown to the apartment. Crossiants and a large bowl of fruit set out and a spare toothbrush and toothpaste in case we had forgotten ours. Fridge was full of bottled water so we were well set up. Downstairs in the boutique mall are coffee shops and restaurants and taxis available out the front door.
Charming guesthouse with a very nice ambiance. Hosts were very helpful and friendly. Location in Mutrah area was perfect, with many things to see and do.
Ashmat was a great host and we had a good time at Fort Guesthouse. Everything was really clean, breakfast at the roof terrace is so nice and the location is perfect to visit Mutrah. We arrived in the middle of the night and checkin with a code was really easy.
