Great location close to the hot pools. We were toasty warm on a very cold night. Host was great and always available. The kitchen was good and had everything we needed, and lots of hot water for the shower.

Its a basic Bed and Breakfast place. Tony is a great host and provides a good value for money breakfast. Rooms are small but the bed was comfortable and fine for a solo traveller.

A great hostel - clean, well-equipped and cheap. We had an en suite double room - very comfortable and clean. Perfect base for our hike on the Tongariro Alpine crossing. Seemed like the majority of guests were more mature, like us, but one young lad also said it was the best hostel he had stayed in.
Private no hosts or any other people to deal with. It was quiet and homely if we had stayed longer it would be a great location for a family or someone wanting to explore the area. We only needed a bed for the night.
