Big, modern room with very clean bathroom. Daily cleaning was also great. Staff was exceptional, they helped us with pretty much everything. Answering our tons of questions before we arrive, arranging our pick up from the airport and welcoming us at the harbour personally… And preparing a birthday cake for my wife. I don’t know what to say, we are very grateful for choosing Dhigurah Cottage.

I can't even put into words how amazing it was staying at Akiri Dhigurah. Jumaan is the most kind and attentive manager. He looked after us like we were part of the family. Breakfast was amazing, the room very spacious and comfortable. I am so happy I chose this place for our Dhigurah visit. I don't think there is any other place in the island that is magical like this one.

I really loved everything about Athiri Beach: - position right on the waterfront (I fell asleep to the sound of waves every night <3) and about 30 steps away from the souvenir shops, yet very quiet and on the sunset side of the island, where you can take picture perfect sunset pictures! - staff: both the hotel staff and the boat staff have been helpful, friendly and generally lovely! I travelled by myself and I was welcomed very warmly by the staff and never felt out of place (which often happens when I travel by myself). - breakfast buffet: tasty, super clean, the restaurant staff is attentive and available. - room: spacious, clean, bed is big and comfy, the balcony was big and with view on the sea and the trees on the beach. Free bottled water available everyday, kettle in the room, mini-fridge to store food and water, nescafe, creamer, sugar etc free in the room. (no shampoo available in the room- bring your own hair products!) - free beach towels for guests - hotel is kept really clean - the bikini beach is a short 5 minute walk away from the hotel - as soon as I booked, I received a guide of the island, of the activities available and explanation on how to request the transfer from Male (which went seamlessly). Please remember: do not expect to pay guesthouse prices and expect to find yourself in a resort all inclusive. The value for the money is really high, but it is not a five star hotel. In exchange, if you're open and curious enough, you'll be able to learn about the island life and enjoy a slower way of living. And: do not miss the boat excursions, even if you cannot swim well! The sea life is amazing here and you'll have unforgettable experiences plus the attentive boat staff will make sure that you never feel unsafe.
