Perfect base for relaxation & tranquility prior yo a safari trip.
The hosts & staff were unbelievably welcoming,friendly and went above & beyond to make our stay memorable, sadly it vwas only for one night.
The setting is truly beautiful, the spice trail set in the grounds & visit to their cinnamon farm is a must. The hosts shared their knowledge & passion throughout .
Dinner and lunch were plentiful, delicious,authentic freshly cooked Sri Lankan cuisine. We dined outside the beautiful surroundings of palm trees & lush countryside
The bedrooms were well air conditioned & beds really comfortable. We travelled with teenagers & their needs were totally met & all slept like logs.
The hosts organised our 5.30am safari & provided a lovely packed breakfast for us to take.

- Cool place to stay, hippy vibes. Lots of cool animals around and 4 gorgeous dogs, 3 of them being sausage dogs.
- The dinner was delicious and the manager got us all instruments after dinner and we played together which everyone enjoyed if it is your vibe.
- I liked going to sleep with the sounds of nature and waking up to them if it’s your vibe as it is all open air.
- Don’t stay if you don’t like roughing it a bit.

Place is located in Tissamaharama, maybe 2km of center but you have everything in for short stay. We spent 1 night before going to safari. Welcome drink - coconaut is something extra that we did not expect. Rooms has AC, fans, hot water, you can order meals and drinks. We enjoyed very much. Owner is helpfull, very nice man. House is very clean, rooms also.

If you are looking for accommodation and safari this is just right spot for you. Sanjeewa is one of the kindest person we have met in whole Sri Lanka. He welcomed us with homemade mango fresh juice from his garden. Told us about fruits and stuff around the place. He arranged everything for us ! We had tasty homemade lunch after safari and room upgrade for free. He also took us to bus station and put us on the right bus to Mirrisa. Thank you for memorable time!!! We will come again!

We loved our stay at River view hotel - the hosts were very responsive, attentive and made us feel at home. Like many travelers visiting this area, we ventured into the Yala national park for a full day safari which they organized for us and was very well planned. Highly recommend

Good location to the yala park. Great host who arranged and guided us on an excellent safari trip where we were able to see a leopard and elephants from very closeby. We staid the full afternoon in the park and afterwards enjoyed an excellent dinner prepared by the host en his wife. Highly recommended.

The hosts were absolutely fantastic, very warm and welcoming. Kapila's knowledge about the flora and fauna in Yala National Park is top level and we would highly recommend doing your safari with him.
The rooms are very spacious, the beds are super comfortable and the hotel is in a very quiet spot so you are guaranteed a good night sleep. The garden is beautiful with lots of bird life around too. Highly recommend staying here!
Great location, clean enough, when we arrived the markets were on across the road which was great. Host was very nice and helpful. Maybe not for everyone but you get what you pay for and we were happy overall.
The host family is very nice. The young daughter speak a very good english and looks eager to train it and talk about their culture and traditions). The food I had was really good and they also greeted me with a fresh welcome juice. They let me help and Watch the dinner making and it was very pleasant.
The rooms are big, very clean and Probably recently renewed (the a/c system seemed pretty new).
The area is out of the city centre, but it is ist to get there in 20 minutes by walk.
I loved the authenticity of the place and the people here. Chilled backpacker vibes. Roberto is a great host ensuring a very warm welcome to guests offering tea etc .
Loved the rustic architecture , very much in tune to surrounding Nature complimented with the animals on site.
Lodge is set by the river so you can go for a dip and cool down. And ample space for you to relax, read and do yoga.
The restaurant building is fantastic. It sits above the tree tops in the breeze. It is beautiful. The staff are all terrific. Fantastic food. Fantastic guide. Great host and staff.
Very quiet place, hosts were really kind. dinner at the restaurant was tasty. We had full day Safari at Yala National Park and it was beautiful. Our driver Roschanne during the Safari was great, I highly recommend him 10/10. We also spotted a leopard at 5 pm. Roschanne was so nice with us.
