Great house, much larger than I expected for a traditional home. Extremely thoughtfully set up. Beautiful. Air conditioning was already on when we arrived. Close to the main street and ferry port. Even closer to the bus stop to the museums.

Yellow House is just lovely. It was comfortable and warm. Check in was seamless and at check out we were even dropped to the ferry. Every possible need was catered for. We were given bikes to tour on and the two adjacent restaurants served delicious casual food.

Our host, Jhonny, was exceptionally kind and warmly welcomed us. He adeptly led conversations and readily assisted us in every way possible. Jhonny offered invaluable advice on places to visit, provided ferry timetable information, and even volunteered to pick us up from the Naoshima bus terminal. He also made a restaurant reservation for us upon our arrival. Truly an outstanding individual!

Beautiful condition with great amenities. We didn’t cook while staying but there was a kitchen with the option to, a warm living room, and great showers and toilets. Location worked well for us as close to the ferry port we used to arrive and in walking distance to the Ando museum and art house project. It was situated in a quaint fishing village between the Art House project and the Benesse house museum with both areas easily accessible by the public bus which stopped across the road from Episode 1. They are self contained cabins with a kitchen, if you want to cook, but there are three places to eat less than 50 metres away. We thought it was excellent value.
