I loved the space it has. The rooms are very clean and fresh. It is actually a whole Japanese house with beautiful details, you really feel like being a local - the owner has a great sense of detail. You can see it in the clean tatami floor. The owner can also be reached at any time which is very nice. The parking space was also a great bonus. Ah, its on walking distance from the Dogo Onsen and has a supermarket around the corner (the owner even has suggestions written down where to eat and go to) - all in all a perfect place should you want to stay in Matsuyama

I stayed here when I was on a cycling trip. I booked last minute and the owners were very kind and welcoming, despite arriving late in the day. The owner even drove me into town for a meal because everywhere in the area was closed. He was such a kind soul and I loved viewing his photographs on when he travelled to Morocco and Barcelona (Monsterrat).
The owners made me a delicious miso soup for breakfast in the morning.
The room was very comfortable. Japanese style beds on the floor. The bathroom was very clean with hot water.
This is a 3 minute walk from Doggo Onsen. The owners provide everything you need to go there (robe, towel, slippers)
I would recommend anyone who wants an authentic Japanese experience to stay here. I felt incredibly welcomed by the kind owners.

Absolutely nothing. That this place has such a high ratting is mind boggling. My so called bed was a pull out chair that turned in to a bed if thats what you wanna call it, it was anything but flat. It was a joke. I had to sleep on the floor. After paying 80 dollars for a room. I'll let the pictures do the talking do not stay here. Plus booking.com gives you an addresses for a love hotel next door not where you actually booked. STAY AWAY TRUST ME. Booking.com this will be the last time I use you it what a joke

This was a really nice and comfortable guesthouse/ hostel. It was very clean and had great facilities. The beds were comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. It was in a good location close to the Dogo Onsen.
Shimpei and his family are absolutely lovely. Shimpei would also go out of his way to help you including getting to places and calling tour guides. The guest house is at a great location, walking distance to Dogo Onsen with good transport links. There was also free tea/ coffee/ biscuits and amazing service throughout my stay.
Great location - convenient to transportation (airport bus, long distance bus, local tram stops are all only a bock away), shopping, eating, sightseeing (Matsuyama Castle, Dogo Onsen). Staff were friendly and very helpful. Room was small but adequate for one person, and in spite of the busy location, the hotel and my room were very quiet. Didn’t use the small shower since there was an onsen facility on site which was relaxing. The buffet breakfast was plentiful although with the same items everyday.
The host was extremely nice, friendly, and helpful. The location was right in the heart of dogo onsen. The facilities were clean, and the bed was nice, even had extra blankets and blanket warmers for the winter. The toilets were downstairs but it wasn't too bad. Would highly recommend if you want a cheap hostel near the famous hot springs!
The hostel is near the Dogo Onsen station and you can walk just 3 minutes from the station. The price was also cheap. In the room, the guests are not many and a little quiet.
there is no breakfast, you can use the kitchen if you dare. The host is extremely nice and helpful, and the location you cant beat: a quiet road, directly in the busy center of Dogo Onsen - that is really great! The hostel is very cheap and you get what you pay for, although I must say the beds are very comfortable and the 4 beds per room better than in most places. Also very clean.
