One of the best accommodations in Iceland, which I would recommend to everyone if they find themselves in this area. You have everything you need - a well-equipped kitchen, cleand bathroom, bedroom and living area. Mr. Baldur was a wonderful host and we had a nice conversation. His wife made very tasty homemade cakes.

Very well located and easy to find. Self check-in and -out were super easy. The space was very clean, comfortable and spacious, even if the kitchen did get a bit busy at breakfast and dinner times. Definitely recommend for a trip to North Iceland.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We appreciated the dinner options offered after our long drive - there were different dishes available, each catering to various price ranges, which was great. The hotel was very clean, and although the bathrooms are shared, we never had any issues with waiting, were always tidy and well-maintained. The beds were extremely comfortable, ensuring we had a restful night. The location is fantastic if you’re planning to visit Godafoss or Aldeyjarfoss, as both are very close. Breakfast was outstanding, with a great selection that set us up perfectly for the day ahead.
Overall, we had a very positive experience and would recommend it, especially for those looking for a peaceful stay close to some of Iceland’s stunning waterfalls!

What a wonderful location. The view from the restaurant is mesmerising. The people that run the Guest house are super friendly and helpful. The host took time to give. lots of good advice on places to visit when I enquired. I had the lamb dinner, which was excellent and breakfast was good too. Rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. At the price it is hard to fault.
The guesthouse is away from the road and any city, so it would be a perfect location for watching aurora borealis. The rooms were cosy, warm and clean. The facilities had everything that we needed. The breakfast was delicious. They even offer lava bread and other homemade bread. A special treat were the waffles that you can prepare for yourself.
All in all a realy pleasant stay.
The house was a little remote, 35 km from the nearest grocery store. The host was very friendly and available. When she learnt we need to buy eggs, she gave eggs to us and saved us a long drive for grocery. The house was clean and well maintained. It is a beautiful area.
