I have stayed in many places in Iceland already but this certainly was one of the best if not the best. Communication beforehand was easy, the guesthouse is super clean and also takes measures with regard to the current situation seriously, the owner / staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely would go back there and can totally recommend it even for a longer stay than just one night.

A fantastic hostel in a great location. We were in room 12 which was a double with bathroom and a view of the mountains. There were great facilities including a sauna and we were able to stay until the boat left despite having checked out. We thought it was the best hostel we have stayed in. We would definitely stay again if we came back to Seydisfjordur. Thank you to the owners and staff.

We stayed during down season, so we didn't expect it to be so quiet in the town. It was beautiful though and we enjoyed it very much. The host was very responsive and helpful. The place was lovely and right next to the pond.

Guest house is lovely converted old building in the scenic small port of Seydisfjourdur. Room was very attractively furnished and very clean. We had room with balcony and sea view overlooking the lagoon, though weather very wet and windy whilst we were there so didn’t get the most out of these. Host very helpful, and several options for eating in the town. We had a very pleasant meal at El Grillo Bar just across the street. Vey scenic drive from Egilsstadir.

Unique hostel in historic hospital building, decorated with charming furniture and attention to detail. Huge kitchen with all the equipment you will ever need, parking directly in front of the building. Washer & dryer available, payment based on honor system. Not cheap, but can highly recommend. Seyðisfjörður is a small but colorful harbor town.
