Cashen Course House, hotel in Ballybunion

Just a short drive from the beach, on the west coast of Ireland, Cashen Course House offers free Wi-Fi and free parking on site.

We met John the owner and he was very friendly, chatty and very courteous. Breakfast was really tasty and the dining room was lovely and homely. Colours elegant and restful. Gardens front and back were lovely and restful with fabulous views over the scenic golf course. A 2 minute walk from Ballybunion Golf club for a walk over the sand dunes to Cashen beach and a lovely restaurant in the club for our evening meal with views of beautiful sunsets (we were so lucky with the weather for mid September) we were blessed with a relaxing and restful 2 day break away.

Mary and James were perfect hosts who were warm and welcoming, and our traditionally furnished room was characterful, extremely spacious and spotlessly clean. Positioned next to a golf course, the location is perfect if you want peace and quiet, with beautiful view right outside your window. Breakfast was excellent.

Great location, right across the road from the beach. We had a decent sized bedroom with a sea-view so we had lovely views of the ocean, beach and the little ruined castle. Mary the host is lovely and welcoming, and very accommodating. When I asked if we could leave in our luggage on arrival, she went an extra step and had the room ready at a much earlier than usual check-in time. Abbie was also very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was tasty, and we had a lovely, quiet and relaxing stay.
