I liked that i was in a family home, and treated as a returning family member when i was in their company and given lots of space to rest alone. I liked the many spaces to chill out, there are comfy sitting rooms or a cool garden patio, a dining room with breakfast bar, table or sofa. Absolutely beautiful gardens, obviously well cared for. Tea and coffee all day in the hall. I liked the room and the aircon! The house and bathroom were very clean, and I saw everything being cleaned every day. Shower has good pressure. Breakfast was fantastic, Indah is a very good cook. Oh and my room had the best decor ever, if you get that room, you'll know it! The whole place is obviously a work of love and it's very comfortable and kind. Oooh also, and importantly, Johanes runs Blue Fire Ijen tours from there, and either his company or another that has space can pick you up at midnight for a tour to Ijen Blue Fire, that was very cool! And you're back in time for breakfast, great day!

Very nice homestay with lovely staff. The location is excellent, surrounded by the beautiful nature, on the road to the Kawa Ijen and a number of waterfalls, very quiet (except for the praying singing early in the morning and a few times in a day by the mosques nearby, but the homestay is not responsible for it). The natural swimming pool is a plus. We love the place so much so we stayed for a whole week, to explore the region. Very good value for money.
