Rowrah Hall, hotel in Workington

Set in Arlecdon, Rowrah Hall features a garden. Free private parking availability on site. The rooms in the guest house are equipped with a kettle. The private bathroom is fitted with a hairdryer.

Outstanding hospitality. This was our second occasion. We opted for location fully informed that there was no breakfast and we were a few miles from the nearest cluster of eating places so came prepared. We slept beautifully in the peaceful rural location and comfy 4 poster bed. The room and en suite were top to bottom clean and we were treated to a top of the range coffee machine. So much quality. When the internet went down, we contacted Jules who was on his own as Ausra was visiting family. He couldn’t have been more responsive and helpful and took an interest in our well being with chat and banter on both check-in and check-out. Even the turkeys and peahens in the grounds were friendly and followed us around when we went for a walk. An altogether memorable and relaxing experience….again!

Cheap and comfortable enough for the price. A cheap stay for the lake district though a hostel would be cheaper and probably a bit nicer. Location is good in the centre of town, but parking is free but timed on street and you need a disc from reception.

Host’s are very friendly and welcoming, bed was super comfortable, slept amazing. A nice quiet area with a great view out the bedroom and bathroom window. Breakfast was amazing, and is a bargain included in price. The parking is great too, could see my car from bedroom window, gave me great peace of mind.

Well situated for what I needed. Very friendly, helpful and welcoming hosts. B&B was comfortable, clean, quiet, and great breakfast. Parking opposite was a bonus. The fridge and coffee machine in room and ability to use microwave downstairs could be really useful, although I didn't need it this time. Appreciated fair trade tea, coffee and sugar and proper milk in room.

Absolutely charming hostess. Happy to layout table for a takeaway. Crystal glasses for our wine. Suitably sympathetic to me needing to endure football on TV. Good recommendations for food. Perfect sleep for two nights. Fabulouse georgian shutters blocking out the light and comfy bed. Really quiet.

A beautifully restored 200 year old property which is run by fantastic hosts Rob and Di. Superbly clean and welcoming. A great location with off street parking. The location is surprising quiet given its only a few hundred yards from the precinct and all that Workington offers. Great room facilities including a Smart TV and Coffee Maker. Fabulous breakfast with a smile.
