Great location a few steps away from the beach. Bus stop into town just around the corner. Close to several places to eat and drink. Lovely clean room - spotless - and tea coffee and milk left in the room too along with the necessary bathroom bits. The host Zara was very helpful and had left nothing to chance. Loved the full English breakfast; very clean room facing the backyard. Location across the street from the water, about a 20-minute walk to High Street and the central part of town, a few local pubs nearby. Far enough from the touristy stuff that the immediate vicinity was quiet. Very friendly owner was home when I arrived slightly before check-in, and she let me in early as the room was ready. The room had a 3-ring binder with local information and suggestions of things to do; I followed one suggestion to walk to Leigh-on-Sea, described as "an energetic walk of an hour", turned out to be closer to 12 km (2+ hours), but was still a lovely walk that I never would have known about had it not been in her book.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. They help you with your luggage and parking as soon as you arrive. Free parking is brilliant. The room was very clean, very comfy bed. Lovely new bathroom and tea and coffee and fridge in the room. Loads of sockets, very handy! The location brilliant, right by the sea. Breakfast included and delicious. Buffet style, plenty to choose from also eggs and extras cooked fresh to order. The two men that run the hotel are charming, chatty, friendly super welcoming and helpful. We would definitely be returning!
