A very cosy house with most helpful, friendly hosts. The hotel is situated in a quiet area about 10 minutes drive away from Lerwick (with a fascinating museum on the geology of the islands and the history of their people); the location is very convenient for excursions to another part of the islands every day. My room was equipped with a large fridge (very nice – grab your provisions for the day and be independent), also microwave and an electric kettle.

Very comfortable room. Host and staff were very nice and accommodating. The location was a pleasant walk from City Centre or the seaside and two bus stops were very close by making travel even easier.

Andrew was so lovely and helpful during my stay, and gave great suggestions for what to do in Shetland. I loved my time at Solheim and hope to come back someday. I was in a single room overlooking the street and the ocean, which was my favorite room during my trip to Scotland. It was small and cozy and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay, including a convenient sink in the room. The location was perfect, and provided a great jumping-off point for exploring Lerwick on foot. It had plenty of street parking for the days I had rented a car, as well.
