Lydford house is so much better than a chain hotel.
The hotel is family owned, and we were dealt with throughout by the owner.
The service could not be faulted, and I have no hesitation in recommendiing this establishment to other couples.
A small hotel of very high quality!

Breakfast was delicious, using local produce and giving the information of where it was from. Gluten free option was available. There is some parking availability at the back of the property. Lovely and clean room with comfortable bed and great/appropriate facilities. The hosts were friendly and very welcoming, with nothing being too much trouble.

Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Quiet location just what I needed after a day on the road but close to A30 to get away in the morning.
Evening meal and breakfast couldn't fault, and Natasha was a great host at the hotel
Lovely guest house - large comfortable room - excellent breakfast - friendly, helpful hosts- well placed for the town centre, but quiet at night. Really good value for money.
We loved our peaceful stay at Hazel's farm house. The bed was comfortable and the rooms were spacious. The breakfast was very tasty (loved the hot croissants!). Great location in the countryside but just a 5 minute drive to a very cute village for dinner in the local pub. Thanks Hazel for being a great host 😊
Hazel was very welcoming and a great host. The property is lovely and surrounded by countryside and very quiet. Comfortable accommodation. Breakfast was toast, croissants and fruit and there were a few extras provided.
Great location in a beautiful Devon village, accessible from A30 and Dartmoor. Room was really comfortable with big bed and great shower. Quiet and a great base. Breakfast was delicious and our host was so welcoming and helpful. We really enjoyed our brief stay on way back from Cornwall and would definitely return.
Very comfortable and quiet boutique accommodation run by fabulous hosts, Steve and Becky in a very welcoming and professional manner. Breakfasts and the ambience were fabulous.
