Location and host were awesome, as was Rothbury itself. Despite the weather, we spent 2 nights in the town eating and drinking after a nice strenuous 10-minute walk from the property. Amenities are excellent, so rural and quiet that I had the best nights sleep in 20 years, with the fresh air floating through the open windows. And the visit to Cragside was amazing Loved our stay

Charming cottage in centre of village where all needs were well catered both by the accommodation itself and outside facilities. Presentation was delightful and equipment was provided for everything one might need. A quiet and restful stay. Thanks for the Prosecco, and the mouse. We hope to return.

The breakfast was really excellent, particularly the fresh fruit, and was well served in a lovely environment. Pauline and Dave are very friendly hosts, who are very pleased to offer advice on local amenities. The room was clean and comfortable and the bed very comfortable. The location is quiet except for the welcome birdsong!

Everything was spotlessly clean. Furniture and room decor lovely. Very friendly welcome by hosts who were able to offer tips on what to do, where to eat etc. Fresh eggs from their chickens outside. Fabulous granola bars given for a tasty snack whilst out and about during the day. Big portions of fresh fruit salad at breakfast and Greek yogurt was fab. Previously a farmhouse in a very pretty and quiet setting in a hamlet.
