We loved it! A bit of a 'ghost hotel' with check in done over the phone, but that suited us just fine. We loved the peace and quiet and the fact we could bring and cook our own food in the ample and very well outfitted kitchen. Beautifully decorated and stunning views! Also they were kind enough to provide us with a late checkout for a smallish fee. We had a fabulous time and hope to come back some day...

Great location in a quiet area for a 2 night stay. We travelled in October so a warm and cosy room was very much appreciated. Evening pub food and breakfast, offering sausages for guest dogs. Lovely touch. Friendly staff.

Great location in a quieter part of the lake district with more than enough activities and attractions on your doorstep. We had a long journey to the lake district so we were happy to be able to do walks from the guesthouse and not have to use the car much while we were there. The owners were friendly and helpful and very welcoming to the dog too :) Good breakfast options and a drying room that worked!

Forest How is a little gem tucked away in a quiet corner of Eskdale surrounded by a beautiful garden filled with the sounds of birds and frequented by red squirrels. No faux boutique touches here just the perfect guest house, quintessentially English, done to perfection. Best of all are the wonderful breakfasts served up by friendly mother and daughter team who run the show.
