The hosts at Gyves House are exceptionally welcoming and were very sensitive to my wife's nut allergy. There are very thoughtful touches in the rooms such as camomile tea, chocolate brownies and biscuits - all of which are home made and nicely presented. Breakfast options and quality are out of this world! Once again, lots of home made items. The property is a few steps from the main road along the beach front, so very well located. WiFi was also good.

A very comfy & clean room, close to where we needed to be, efficient check in process, & the owners were quick to respond & follow up. There's a shared kitchen if needed, & the kettle & fridge in the room are very handy. Good value, & a nice view from the window!

They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Elaine and Steve are excellent hosts and made our stay very enjoyable and easy. Our room was very clean and comfortable with a seaview, and very quiet. They provide a great choice of breakfasts, cooked to order, and we had something different each day of our stay. Great location opposite the beach, in a quiet part of Eastbourne, a 5 - 10 minute taxi ride from the railway station. Excellent value for money and highly recommended.
Great location,Mark & Christine were great hosts. We had room 3 with a balcony which gave us great sea views ,it was only a short walk into town where there are plenty of bars and restaurants. I couldn't leave a review without mentioning the breakfast, fresh fruit, cereal, yoghurt fruit juice & of course the full English. Room & hotel were spotlessly clean, best b&b we've stayed at.
Great location, on a quiet road with ease of access to shops, beach and restaurants with vehicle. Public transportation close by. Henro was a great host. We were in from Norway visiting family and this was was a ideal stay for us.
The hosts were extremely kind and helpful. The room was cozy and quiet as it faced the courtyard. Good location close to the pier and the city center. There were a lot of breakfast options including fresh fruit.
