It was clean, comfortable. We had a room at the top of what is an town house and the views over Dorchester were wonderful from all the windows. Our room had a bedroom, a sitting room with a big telly and a large bathroom with a roll top bath and a separate great shower. Lovely thick towels provided.
The breakfast which is included was first rate. Each morning I chose something different and each one, we were there 4 mornings, was delicious.
The proprietors, Karl and Jocelyn, were so welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble.
The location was perfect for us. Town centre with loads of good restaurants and coffee shops and the usual chains of shops but also lots of independent shops too. Loads of museums if that’s your thing. It is ours.

I had a small quirky single room which had all the facilities even a fridge with a small bottle of milk. I slept very well and wish I had stayed for breakfast now. Great stay and I would definitely book again. Thank you :-)

Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Pool was stunning and surrounding gardens were lovely. Great that there was tennis available also. Amanda was a lovely host, lovely room, easy to come and go. Great pub down the road (with a pavement) with lovely food and gardens.
The room was really quiet and very comfortable and overlooked the tennis court and swimming pool. The swimming looked very inviting but unfortunately the weather was such that it discouraged any swimming. The tennis was in excellent condition having just been relined and resurfaced.
The breakfasts were top quality and the host, Amanda, was very friendly and helpful.
Lovely house and gardens. Very comfortable and quiet. Friendly and accommodating host. Great to be able to have a swim and a game of tennis. We loved it!
Beautiful house, lovely room.
Amanda is a great host and very kind.
Breakfast delicious
Shower and bathroom very nice.
I would go back again.
Close to Monkey world as well as Durdle door.
Great place to stay for exploring the area. Room was excellent and spotlessly clean. The hosts were very friendly and the breakfast was fantastic. Very quiet at night with a pub serving great food just down the road
Great host, clean room, large bathroom. Quiet and relaxing
