Mel was a lovely host and gave us a warm welcome. Traveling with friends, so I was able to see both large guest rooms, they were lovely with nice bathrooms. We were able to use a table downstairs in the evening to play cards games. Breakfast was the best. We were each able to choose from a long list of items. Yogurt, fresh berries, toast with jam, coffee and tea and delicious hot breakfast. A British brekky, or the eggs Benedict (I ordered these both mornings)nice healthy omelettes, my husband had the haddock, excellent he said. Great way to start the day! After being in London and Oxford the peace and quiet was wonderful. My friend was re-visiting her school after 44 years only 3 minutes away Ca

+ Cute little cottage, well equipt for a short stay. Interesting layout, set out over 4 floors! + We particularly liked the cosy living room on the lower ground floor, and the big comfy sofa. + Fantastic views of Warton Crag face. + Good parking at the rear. + Good communications from the host, clear directions for check-in, and they kindly let us know that we'd left a set of keys behind (fortunately before we'd left the area!) + Great location, for beautiful walks and local nature reserves.

We liked everything about this Bed and Breakfast accommodation. it was our first visit but it won’t be our last as it’s also in one of our favourite locations in England. Mel, the host, is both charming and professional. she has thought of everything you might need and offers a breakfast menu that is a little different from the standard offerings.
