Great location, really close to the ferry, shops, and a bus stop right outside as well. It's also much more reasonably priced than other places in the area.
The room was a good size and the bed was comfy. Good enough facilities in the room and we had a nice view out to the garden.
Breakfast was fine and portions / options were good.
Overall enjoyed our stay and Charlotte is a very friendly host.

We based ourselves at Oakbank farm with our bikes for 3 days, perfect setup and big shed to store bikes. The shore road leading to Oakbank is stunning and we were able to watch the seals every day. Great apartment and location and we will definitely stay again when we visit Arran.

Nice location.
Chef and waitress very friendly.
Breakfast and service was great.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Excellent quiet location just a few minutes walk( uphill ) from ferry terminal.Nice gardens and pleasant lounge.Just be sure to book the right size of room as a “small” room is exactly that and the “shower booster “ has a mind of its own.Good choice of cooked items for breakfast, although having to record your choices and time before 6 pm the previous night may seem a bit regimental nowadays. All in all, a rather charming reminder of how things used to be.
Excellent location, friendly hosts and the cottage is really well equipped. Immaculately clean and comfortable. Close to the ferry terminal, ideal base for exploring the island.
Peaceful and quiet, there were lots of birds in the garden, including a really cheeky chicken who peered in the door every morning to remind us to feed her. We enjoyed watching the red squirrel raiding the bird feeders.
Ideal location within walking distance of ferry terminal, shops and the beach. Charming Guest house with a very friendly and helpful host. Beautiful garden and sweet single room with big bath. Great homecooked breakfast.
Great location, close enough to the ferry terminal yet far enough away for it to be very quiet. Alan was an excellent host and made the whole stay an absolute pleasure. The breakfast was first class, plenty of choice with quality ingredients used throughout.
Charlotte was a great host; when I had issues with my ferry, she reassured me I'd still be able to check in and got it all set up for me to arrive late! She was also very approachable to ask about Arran generally and cooked a full breakfast for us each morning (much needed pre the long hikes). Room was really charming, with blackout blinds, lovely comfy bed and a nice size and amenities like tea/coffee, desk, mirrors, lots of plug sockets.
For us a good bed and breakfast has a great host, a fantastic breakfast, wonderful location and views and a warm, comfortable room and bed. Belvedere scores highly on all these counts. Allan looked after us superbly, fed us royally and our rooms were comfy and warm. It made for a great stay, thanks.
