What a gorgeous little hideaway - everything is so perfect in there and I was really comfortable for a night before my work event. Everything inside is finished beautifully and there were so many lovely little touches, like the hot water bottles, lamps. and smart light on the bathroom mirror. The shower water was lovely and hot and there is a really cute retro fridge. Everything you need is right there. Food can be delivered to the cabin although it is only a short easy walk downhill to the quay. (a little tougher coming back up the hill).
This historic hotel has first-class food, friendly service and a great location for North Devon's sights, including Clovelly village and the picturesque Tarka Trail for walkers and cyclists.

The location of the hotel is amazing, it's not in the centre yet it's still close enough to reach everything in the centre with a 10+ minute walk or a few minutes drive. You don't get distracted by the usual noise of a hotel that is so close to the centre of the town.
The breakfast was amazing, delivered to my room on the exact time of my time slot start time (you can choose a slot of 15 minutes to have it delivered to your room).
I stayed in one of the top rooms (room 7). The room was nice and big, with a large bathroom and a view over Ilfracombe (see pictures). There's a coastal walk about 10 minutes away or you can park up on the National Trust car park which is about 4 minutes away. I got there a little later on the day of my stay so I didn't meet Cath until the day I was leaving and she was incredibly nice and welcoming as well as the staff member that brought my breakfast up, I only stayed here for a night but I would absolutely stay here for more than one night.
Love the little bonus cake I could take in the communal area downstairs.

We loved everything about our stay , it was just what we needed after a long day on the road, and in meetings.
Piper & Terrence were so accommodating throughout our stay. We couldn’t have asked for any more
We stayed in the Ottilie Green Budget Room, but there was nothing “budget “ about it . Very tastefully decorated, modern on suite bathroom and comfortable bed! Plenty of plush fluffy pillows!! 😉
We will definitely be back in the future when we are next in Ilfracombe ( if we can get in looking at all the fabulous reviews!)

Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Was lovely, remote & quiet. Perfect if you want a cheap little get away smack bang between Devon & Cornwall, so very easy to drive to everywhere around. Lots to do around the site too, my partner & son did the high ropes, climbing wall & assault course and absolutely loved it! The staff were exceptional, very responsive to any issues & lovely people
Lovely cosy family chalet, with everything you need lots of clothes storage and a great kitchen with everything you could need for a family holiday. Lovely large comfy beds great bunk beds for the kids. And the travel cot fits in the bedroom.
Great location for everything lovely holiday park.
Great host always happy to help with any problems and always communicated on text messages
Me and family had a great time would highly recommend this accommodation..
I recently stayed at Moorview for three nights to use as a base to explore Devon and Cornwall on a motorbike. Loved the quiet countryside and views. Clean modern room, great hosts and lovely continental breakfast. Would definitely return.
Location was spot on for a quiet holiday and just a short drive from the beautiful coastline. Breakfast was delivered in a basket each morning which we ate outside in the sunshine listening to the birds. It included different things each day and was all delicious and plentiful. It was incredibly peaceful, no street lights, no pavements, no busy traffic which is just what we were looking for. The whole place was spotless and the room was very comfortable with everything we needed. Stephen was a great host. Thankyou for a lovely break.
Sandy was a great hostest ! Room was lovely and clean, quiet with nice views, we would recommend a stay there. We intend to stay again soon .Thankyou Sandy so much see you soon 😊
Breakfast excellent. Felt like staying in somebodys home - nothing like a guesthouse or normal b & b. Very Clean & Comfortable with friendly hosts. Not cheap but good value for what you got. Would stay again if in the area.
Great location as a base for exploring North Devon. Quiet, countryside location but also really close to town and all amenities. Our host was so welcoming and helped us by pointing out the local points of interest and towns to visit etc. Our room was immaculately presented with homely touches and decorated beautifully, very tasteful and stylish. I’ve never visited a place that was so spotlessly clean! The beautiful breakfast hamper was a delight too. I can’t recommend Moorview highly enough.
Brilliant location, quiet and peaceful yet only a stone throw from the A39. Amazing hosts, Mark and Ann were always available for anything we needed. Great location, lovely cottage - would highly recommend.
