very welcoming close to ellingham hall where we were at a wedding. cafe reasonably priced clean large beds huge bathroom bath and shower living room very cosy. small but adequate kitchen with everything you need. would definitely recommend.

Best B&B we have ever stayed in (and we've stayed in many). From the friendly welcome greeting and chat over coffee and lovely home-made cake in the sun lounge on arrival through to arranging early breakfasts on two mornings for us, the overall beauty of the house and gardens, comfy bed, lovely room overlooking the spectacular garden and overall thoughtfulness towards all guests individually, we would say West Acre House cannot be beaten.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Fantastic attentive hosts, very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. We had room 6 which was very spacious and comfortable. There was also a lovely guest lounge and balcony looking out to the estuary we could use. Great location very close to the beach, shops and eating places.
Quiet location, yet close to everything. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed. Ingenious open up balcony in Room 8 with beautiful views of the Aln estuary and countryside. For breakfast lovely fresh fruit salad, good selection of bread including croissants, pancakes, muffins etc. and very good coffee.
Outstanding little retreat....absolutely perfect for peace and quiet. My German shepherd puppy had the run of the garden and I had no worries about him getting out. The host was charming and very helpful. I will definitely look forward to a return.

Breakfast was excellent with plenty of options to choose from, served between reasonable hours. Would recommend to anyone interested in staying in the area and will be visiting again in the future.
Beautiful home and facilities, very luxurious and comfortable. Lovely big bedroom with everything we needed and more. Harvey is a great host and made us feel very welcome at all times. The sun terrace is great and honesty bar a bonus so you can have a quiet drink and relax.
Just back from a fabulous two night stay at this fabulous guest house. The lady guest house owner and son were just so lovely and helpful as were all the staff, making sure my parents were well looked after and we knew of all the best places to visit locally e.g. Howick Hall and Craster. The guesthouse is spotless, tastefullydecorated, quiet and cosy and the large guest lounge has beautiful views out to river Aln. We are already talking about a return trip. Thank you for making our longed for trip away together so special, it was so memorable.
