Beautifully restored old mill in lovely surroundings. Very comfortable and peaceful. Charming hostess, great breakfast, and excellent accommodation.

A magnificent property with fantastic hosts ! We stayed for 2 nights and from the outset we were greeted and looked after just as if we were their friends.
This is a beautifully refurbished property, which has been tastefully updated, whilst still retaining the full character of a very old building. Our bedroom and bathroom fittings were of a very high standard, the bed was large and comfortable, and the room had lovely views towards the picturesque town.
The owners also showed us around the other rooms, which were equally well refurbished to the same very high standard, and they also had great views of the old walled town. Breakfast was also very good with attentive friendly service, and a choice of fresh fruit, breads, croissant, and selection of cheese, plus eggs cooked to order.
The location is very quiet, and yet just a 5 minute walk to a wide variety of shops and a great selection of restaurants as well as a great opportunity to explore the historic town and buildings of Alencon . We loved our stay !

It was right in the centre of historic Alencon and you had a whole apartment with 2 double bedrooms, generous bathroom and a balcony terrace. Lovely, comfortable stay. Thank you.

The location was excellent in a safe and peaceful area but close enough to a really nice town , the host was friendly and helpful, the room was very clean and tidy we had a nice breakfast and overall were very happy with our stay .
Nadine is a very friendly and kind host. The house is exceptionally clean and tidy. The breakfast was very good, with a large selection of food on offer. There is ample parking either on the driveway or on the road opposite the property.
It was a one night stop on our way to Amboise. It was a great stay. Nadine is the most welcoming and wonderful host I have ever met. Our dinner together was so lovely, conversation flowed thanks to Google translator :) we had a memorable stay. Nadine was so kind to give us some picnic items on our way, it was all so delicious.
We didn’t have breakfast, dinners are very good, the bar has a lovely atmosphere and quaint We park near the hotel instead of across the road. It’s nothing fancy, the hotel is clean, comfortable and near the motorway perfect for a one night stop over. No air conditioning they have fans.
Staff were very welcoming. The room was comfortable and the meals, both evening and breakfast were fulfilling and well worth the money. This was the third time of staying at Auberge Normande as it,s a comfortable 4 hour drive from the Eurotunnel and only a few minutes off the motorway going down through the South of France and into Spain. We shall certainly be using this establishment again. There is a supermarket within a short distance so you can fill up with fuel at a cheaper rate than on the motorways.
the auberge was very quaint and in a great location for my journey back to Cherbourg. The highlight was the dinner. I had seen the reviews about this but it exceeded my expectations. It was also extremely good value - 3 different ’menus’ to choose from or à la carte if you preferred. It was indeed excellent.
The young girl who seemed to do all jobs was very efficient and friendly.
Great location if headed South, just off the motorway. Authentic local hotel, with great food and genuine French feel to the place. Rooms are cozy and comfortable, quiet nights sleep with a great cup of coffee at breakfast the next day.
