The addition of the pool, which is quite generous, meant one could have a nice cool dip after a day in the city. There is a fully equipped kitchen, including a wine fridge. Most of all, he is very good at reading people and is very attentive. He was always a step ahead and anticipated what I needed before I even knew I did! Maison d'hôtes Alma is situated at walking distance from the train and bus station. It is a lovely oasis in a quiet neighbourhood, from which Bordeaux can be explored by foot of rental bike (e.g. Lime). Staying here was such a treat; even with 39 degrees C, indoor comfort was pleasant. The house is beautifully and sustainably decorated, with a green small terrace at the back, kitchen and living space that can be used by the guests. Inès was a perfect host, for nice chats, preparing healthy breakfast and giving advice on everything possible. I felt very much at home here and will certainly be back when in Bordeaux again.
