La Douce Halte was one of the most beautiful accommodation that we stayed in.
Our room had an interesting concept of "no-doors" so it was very spacious, very clean and well designed, with modern furniture.
We had everything in our room (even a portable speaker), a full equipped cooking area with a refrigerator, but the view through the roof windows got us hooked. The room being upstairs, you could admire beautiful green fields of the domain, hear the birds chirping by the pond and enjoy the fresh air while watching the sun set. 🌞
We asked for a breakfast outside, and we ate a delicios meal with a view like no other!
The sauna inside our room was a big surprise and it was a nice way of relaxing.
It was worth staying here and we regret that we stayed for only one night! 😅

Claudine is a great host. She sent photos of the parking space, how to get the key and access the apartment via the lift and short flight of stairs. During the afternoon she sent a message to let us know the coffee machine wasn't working so that we could plan accordingly. This is a real home from home where you could definitely stay for several days. Well located near the river close to the town, shops and restaurants. It is a residential block so nice and quiet with designated off road parking.
This is a typical youth hostel with numerous rooms, shared toilet and shower facilities, table tennis table. Functional in other words and cheap. It sits on a short walking distance from the train station, next to a football and outdoor sports fields. The breakfast is served in an adjacent building, simple with only marmelade served. Coffee too, which is important for me.
We needed one night stay to break long trip from France to UK. This hotel is perfect for that. Despite the fact that this is rather small hotel our family room was good size. Parking in the hotel (have to book it). One of the cleanest hotels I have been to. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Lovely staff. Literally in the city centre so you can take a 2 hour walk and enjoy charming city of Laval. Just great!
