Pensión A Carballeira, hotel in Villalba

Pensión A Carballeira in Villalba provides accommodation with free WiFi, 45 km from Lugo Cathedral, 45 km from Roman Walls of Lugo and 47 km from Congress and Exhibiton Center.

We booked a double room, but actually ended up with a double bed with an extra single. The room came with a shower en-suite, with complementary soap and comb. Whilst the listing states no parking, we found plentiful on-street, public parking just around the corner. Check-in was via a key code with keys available upon arrival. Interactions with the staff were excellent. Our 2+1 room was located on the first floor, and there was a dormitory with bunk beds on the ground floor, with access to a kitchenette. We were able to store food and water in the fridge, which we collected before leaving. Overall great value for money, and very happy with our stay.

A little bubble of luxury in the midst of some tough walking. Located near to probably the best restaurant on the Camino (Meson Do Campo). The air con and ridiculously nice bathroom was a welcome change from the pensions and albergues and for the money it felt like an absolute steal.

The albergue is in a great location near the Camino de Santiago route. The small restored stone house is very homely and gives the warmth of home. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They prepare an excellent tasty dinner with dessert. Breakfast is classic.
