I asked for help, and the property refused. We checked in, went briefly to the room, didn't touch anything.
When we left I heard my son had been in an accident, at home in Spain, 200km away.
We went back immediately, to cancel the room (within an hour) and told them the circumstances. They understood, we thought, offered their condolances and understanding that we had to return home and now didn't need the room, and after I spoke to your Customer Services, I was told we'd get refunded. The manager shook our hands and said sorry.
Today, I came home to find an email from Booking.com saying the property have refused to refund, for an un-tocuhed room.
I am appalled that the property have done this, and that Booking.com have allowed this.
I have been a customer for many years, and no amount of problems before has ever caused me to complain.
I would like this decision to be reviewed, and for you to refund the money if the property will not.
This is the biggest and worst customer service I have seen in all the years I have been a loyal customer of booking.com
You need to sort this out and someone needs to refund us!

Beautiful apartment, spacious and clean. The location is great, lovely swimming pool and the beach is a 15-minute walk away. Hostess is very nice and responds quickly to messages/questions and is very helpful. Highly recommended.
Good size room with comfortable bed. Great shower. Helpful host. Safe space for my bicycle (in the room). Good for a one night stay. Quiet area with some restaurants around.
Everything was perfect. The owner is very nice, the location is excellent in the middle of the city but still very quiet, you can find everything you want nearby. The apartment is big, very nicely decorated and very clean. I recommend this location and I will definitely come back
The host was friendly and always rapid responsive. The check in was easy.
It was easy to find a parking place for the car and there was a supermarket not far from the apartment.
Excellent location. Everything was perfect. I’m think the whole place was new. Every single item plus the decoration was immaculate, there was not a mark on anything.

I didn't know what to expect from El Ejido as it is the main town for the fruit industry in the south of Spain. We were passing through on a cycling trip. However it had plenty of life, nice bars and restaurants. Our host guided us to a lovely local tapas bar and it was excellent. The hotel itself was exceptional value for money. The cheapest of our whole cycling trip
