For our first stay in Cordoba, we wanted to be right in the historic centre. The hotel was an excellent choice with wonderful architecture and lovely patios. We treated ourselves to a junior suite which also had a terrace and lovely to have a fresh fruit platter as a welcome on arrival. Spacious rooms including spacious shower. Very comfortable beds. Enjoyed the buffet breakfast. To reach Cordoba, we flew to Malaga then took the train. We walked from Cordoba Central to the hotel - a pleasant walk along gardens and then soaking up the atmosphere of the small streets leading to our hotel.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
This is a really attractive historic building. The rooms are spacious and with high ceilings. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The location is on one side of the attractive central square of the town (and very close to excellent restaurants and the castle), but due to the thick walls and location of the bedroom it is very quiet in the hotel.
Excelent location, close to Almodovar Castle, very clean, good matress, acces to the kitchen, private bathroom, parking în front of the property, nice host.
Our host, Vicente, was most flexible and friendly.
Language was no problem, we both used our "friend" Google Translate.
The property is amazing, far, far beyond what we expected.
Incredible views, quiet and private
The two Sonia's (mother and daughter) are great hosts. Sonia junior met us at a local restaurant and we followed her to the villa. Villa is in a spectacular location overlooking the lake with a view to the castle. The walk down to the lake is very nice and you can fish.
Beautiful house in a wonderful location. Very clean. Great host, who helped us with parking. Lovely, traditional Spanish town with a beautiful castle. Recommend La Viuda bar which is unbelievably cheap. We will be returning.
