Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
A charming treehouse-style cabin in the Rumi-Wilco private reserve, an easy 10 minute walk from the town centre. Very well equipped and comfortable. Alicia was a wonderful host - friendly, helpful and full of knowledge about the local ecology.
It's a beautiful property in a great location, very quiet but just a couple of minutes' walk to the centre.
The bed was very comfortable and a big plus that there are only 3 beds in the dorm. There is a lovely garden to chill in and the kitchen has all you need, included drinking water.
The hosts are lovely.
It's just a really lovely place with charming staff and a beautiful garden. The room looked onto the pool and was very quiet. I liked the fact that it had fly screens so you could leave the windows open at night without the issue of bugs. I also liked the hammock outside on the veranda - one for each room.
It's a very small town so everything is walking distance from the hotel. There were no issues with hot water, and WiFi worked well in our room o the second floor.
Wonderful place, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and cannot wait to return. It's peaceful, great location, VERY clean, and Anya is the best host :) we will be back!
Small, cosy, friendly home with 3 rooms and therefore quiete and familiar. Very good equipped kitchen, host is super friendly and helpful. Super comphy beds, big room, lovely lights everywhere.
A beautiful old adobe Ecuadorian house, lovingly restored and thoughtfully appointed, we felt more like we were staying in a boutique hotel than a budget hostel. Great location, great views from our room, kind and considerate host, highly recommended
